The Night My Life Changed

The Night My Life Changed

There was rain that night,
Yes, rain, thunder, and lightening,
I remember it vividly in my mind.

I had just had a fight with my wife,
And was out trying yo clear my head,
Not paying attention to my surroundings.

That's when I heard it,
The scream of a helpless woman,
I tried to find where the screaming was coming from.

As my feet carried me further down the street,
The screaming kept getting louder,
I feared for the woman's life.

By this time I was running,
Searching frantically for the woman,
I didn't know my life was about to change.

I stopped dead in my tracts,
I saw lying before me,
A body covered in blood.

As I turned the body over,
My heart skipped a beat,
Staring at my was the lifeless body of my wife.

-This is NOT a true poem. I made everything up. Just thought I'd let you guys know.
