A Lesson In Backstabbing

A Lesson In Backstabbing

Lust was the poison in your venomous kiss,
Photos burning through my mind I reminisce.
That dreadful day I knew love did not exist,
My world shattered into the darkest abyss.

My eyes were deceived by her wicked grin,
A knife in my back pierced through my skin.
Echoing the airwaves an eerie song on violin,
Ripping at my heart and ears she sealed a win.

Lost the game she forced upon my aching soul,
With the trust she broke and my life she stole.
I had loved her and my heart she would console,
But she loved another and played a double role.

Split between love and lust I began to break,
I realized loving her was my biggest mistake.
Everything she had offered to me was fake,
A lesson learned and a new man will awake.

*This was suppose to be a title for a song my band had. We never used it. So I didn't want it to go to waste. *
