Hidden In The Darkness

by xxSilent Tearsxx   Aug 5, 2006

In a room full of darkness,
Loneliness and fear,
Sat a young boy in the corner,
Refusing to shed a tear.

Too weak to go on,
Too strong to die,
Surrounded by his fears,
That made him say goodbye.

The thing he wanted most,
Was friends that really cared,
But they left him all alone,
Shattered, bewildered and scared.

Hidden in the darkness,
Where no one else could see,
Broken bones, bruises and cuts,
Abused he'd always be.

Bleeding from his wrist,
But in the corner he will stay,
The darkness he is no longer scared of,
But calls it safety in a way.

Protected from the light,
That always turned to dark,
The room that sometimes comforts him,
When his father leaves his mark.

A blade he sees as forgiveness,
For what he's told is wrong,
Like a person that is redeemed,
By an angels song.

From all the pain and suffering,
He still refuses to cry,
Hoping it would get better,
As time went on by.

Afraid to leave the room,
The boy that was always shy,
Took out his blade one more time,
As he slowly said goodbye.

xxplease comment, would mean a lotxx
