Memory

by Megan   Aug 11, 2006

The memory is a funny thing...
It chooses the weirdest things
For you to remember, forever...

Like how you never
Knew what to say,
You always looked in
My eyes, but you could
Never look me in the eye,
You never answered your
Cell when I'd call...

And I tried not to
Think anything of it,
I didn't want to
Seem entrusting...

Like how you'd push
Me to do what I
Didn't want to do,
Your frustration
When I said no, and
The way you looked
At her as she passed...

And I tried not to
Think anything of it,
I didn't want to
Seem entrusting...

Like the look on your
Face when I found
You atop her, and
Your stupid excuse
That I drove you to it...

But I don't ever remember
Me telling you to go off
With some other girl,
Telling you that you could
Get what you wanted from
Another girl, I just can't
Seem to remember...
