10 Years

10 years pass by,
Thousands die.
10 years pass by,
A new world is
Upon us.
10 years pass by,
And a new 10
Years begins...

We sit and think
That 10 years
Is just so far away
And that we can
Do so much with
Our lives in that
Short span of time...
But when 10 years
Is up, we realize
How short lived
It was, and that
We have changed
Very little...
Though the world
Around us is nothing
Like we remember it...

10 years pass by
A new war begins.
10 years pass by
A new disses has
Been discovered.
10 years pass by
And a new 10
Years begins...

We're always planing
Ahead 10 years,
But our plans never
Seem to happen
The way we wanted,
Someone dies,
Someone gets sick,
Or something else
That wasn't planed
Happens to get
In the way, and
Nothing is the
Way we remember it...

10 years pass by,
In ashes we lie.
10 years pass by,
The world is said
To be ending.
10 years pass by,
And a new 10
Years begins...
