If I Wasn\'t Such A Fool For You

by xoxShorteexox   Aug 14, 2006

Laying roses at her feet,
& playing tag with hearts.
Killing people in the streets,
& dancing down the stairs.
Giving him your paper heart,
& find it laying on your doorstep. Smiles so fake it's pathetic,
and lies so see through.
I'm so screwed when it comes to love,
& so shocked when it comes to hate.
I'm multi-tasking I can talk to you, & piss you off at the same time. I'm living on a day by day bases, but no one said it was safe.
I'm gambling with my life.
But that's a small price to pay,
for there is nothing to do.
Because all I do is sit around
& wait for you.
I've started to learn that hopeless, I'm waiting for a lost cause.
But when days turn to yesterdays, my heart's swores awaken.
When lies finally turn into the truth,
I'll learn to actually know you're leaving me in the dark for. Tomorrow is a swore of better days,
and lies about the golden gates.
If you wouldn't have putted so much wool in front of these emerald eyes,
this might have worked.
If I didn't believe those lies about you,
having another girl tie you down to the bed.
I wouldn't be waiting for a lost cause, I'd be looking for the one.
If I wasn't such a fool for you,
I'd have already gone.
