An account in flesh.

by Kevin   Aug 15, 2006

Many would come.
Some to spit, some to cry,
some to return the hearts I gave them,
and others too, to claim their own,
some because in life I tamed them.

One would journey
I know for sure
to simply stand and grin
taken as we were to fighting
to see me dead's a way to win

A few be there in disbelief
owing mostly to my powers
would come to see me rise again
standing stones for many hours

A few would come to check for life,
known as I am for pranks and fable,
most because to feel alive,
we like to dine at Deaths free table.

Interesting take on the subject. I particularly liked

A few would come to check for life,
known as I am for pranks and fable,
    most because to feel alive,
we like to dine at Deaths free table.

The last line made me let out a very unladylike snort of amusement.

Death always seems to bring everyone together, but not always for the better.

    I love the verse
    "Many would come.
Some to spit, some to cry,
some to return the hearts I gave them,
and others too, to claim their own,
some because in life I tamed them."

But sadly we can not always reclaim our hearts from a loved one that has passed.

Gratefull; however, that we have had the chance to love them and give them a piece of our hearts for eternity.
