World View

This is it world i am beaten,
you have won,
the pain you have caused me,
will never be undone,

I should have known from the start,
I never had a hope,
Left in the darkness,
Unable to cope,

Love is pointless,
My feelings are worthless,
Swept away by hatred,
The world is faceless,

Shivering in the corner,
Hidden by shadow,
Watching the outside,
as they scurry to and fro,

I have no place there,
I have no place here,
Left to wander,
Left in despair,

They say love is a victory,
That it conquers all,
All love every gave me,
Was a hollow soul,

Emotion passes through me,
Fading into time,
Leaving me alone with my thoughts,
Printing them out in rhyme,

A loss so cruel,
Yet almost normal,
Another broken heart,
Carried upon the wings of an angel,

I seek happiness,
I devote every breath,
I never get what i seek,
I see only death,

My words come out muddled,
I am left at a loss,
Struggling against the darkness,
Amidst the chaos,

Always doing wrong,
can't seem to do right,
so now i leave this place,
disappearing into the night,
