The cops came banging today
Beating at your door too
I've finally told sweetie

The house smelled of pee
Clothes were all around
Everything was dirty
And you were no where to be found

I ran through the house
Frantically looking for you
So many thoughts
I wished that weren't true

The house was silent and still
No one was in sight
The TV was on the floor
I could tell there'd been a fight

I yelled your name
Shouting louder then before
I think Im too late
Theres blood on your door

The cops are busy searching
but I think I know where
Footprints of blood are leading
Down the basement stair

I open the door slowly
Its very dark and cold
I could hear whimpering
I ran down being bold

I didn't find you
Where did you hide?
A puppy on a blanket bleeding
was all that I could find

I'm scared for you angel

I think I'm too late
