Am I Beautiful As Her Now?

by xoxShorteexox   Sep 3, 2006

Tears raining down from these green eyes,
and this pale face turning paler by the minute.
Wearing my fears out there on my sleeves for all to see,
my insecurities painted on.
This red lipstick smudged,
and eyeliner disaster.
I always tried to look my best,
with these insecurities on my face.
Today's the day,
that I lay on that floor.
With the picture of you in my heart,
and wonder if you see me every night she's laying next to you.
I pull down my arm warmers,
and look at these arms lined with beauty marks.
I lay on that bathroom floor,
and this last mark of beauty.
Ended all the pain,
as I screamed, "Am I as beautiful as her now?"

How often we try to hide behind our exteriors. This was such a sad write, Hated to see the pain of it end like it did.

Keep it up and good job.

Peace and Happiness be with you
