Sometimes

by Bhavin   Sep 13, 2006

Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we cry
Sometimes we fail though we try
Sometimes we smile to hide our tears
Sometimes we pray to overcome our fears.
Sometimes we love, sometimes we hate
Sometimes to recognize our love we are late
Sometimes we like but we cannot express
Sometimes we are responsible for our loneliness.

Sometimes close friends are those whom we trust
Sometimes our emotions are nothing but dust
Sometimes they are true, sometimes not
Sometimes they keep trying to ditch us a lot
Sometimes others think we are trying to impress
Sometimes are impressions becomes a mess
Sometimes we get up when we fall down
Sometimes we smile but sometimes we frown.

Sometimes we wish to be happy forever
Sometimes we wish that bad days should come never
"Sometimes" is the word, in our life it stays
I wish I could convert it into "ALWAYS..."

This is fantastic- the voice, style, flow and form are fantastic. The repitition of Sometimes works wonderfully and you really have captured so much of life in this work.
And you asked me for my advice and guidance? Trust me, you don't need it (but as always it will be a joy to read your work and offer whatever opinions or advice I can. There are a few minor things that could perhaps make this piece stronger, but it is perfectly fine as it is (I'm still editing/doing rewrites on poems I wrote years ago-so I know that with time comes perspective and an ability to edit/rewrite/improve new writings as well as older poems, we all can always strive to improve)), you have the talent, the ability, the heart and mind and soul of a true poet!

    Peace, Poetry & Power,
