Time For Change

by Lu   Sep 15, 2006

Most of my life I've felt powerless, never stood up for myself
small tiny sapling blowing in the cold, piercing wind
waiting scared for every storm to pass, alone
my conscience, my controversy rival

Better to fight my mind, than take a chance on love, I thought

The wind my only nonjudgmental friend, silently listening
cold at times, yet still warmly embracing
drying my tear stained eyes with soft gentleness
sweeping over me, cleansing my soul

My secrets kept, with one who speaks no words

Now today, as I've grown older, wiser through the years
realizing the wind can never replace human friendship and love
when in search for truth and answers, the wind shall remain silent
warm and gentle upon our face, yet cold to our broken hearts

Those whom love us do not give their silence, but makes us face reality

Listen to the wind blowing, millions of secrets and sadness it holds
warm yourself in it's soft gentle breeze, yet you still remain alone
alone, sad, unloved, what would be the purpose of our life ?
it's the love of partners, children, friends, that bring meaning to our lives

............If we never take chances and share our love...........
............ We will forever be, a lonesome dying soul .............
....................................Alone.............................................
............................Blowing in the wind .................................

Brill layout on this one, if it's possible to add more to this poem, that did.
I don't know how to descibe the emotions this poem put me through,
I may have interpreted it differently as a result.
    But still, just simply amazing!
