Drunk Driving

by disturbed one   Sep 24, 2006

Squeeling tires, Shattering glass,
Mangled metal, Fiberglass,
This is the result of,
Driving way too fast,

Sirens screaming loudly,
In my screeching ears,
I had way too many,
Way too many beers,

Last I remember,
I was at a party,
Now Im being lifted onto a stretcher,
By a guy named marty,

Im in an ambulance,
Being carried away,
As I lay on my bed,
I hear them whisper "DOA",

I found out they meant,
The one in the other car,
Im still alive,
But she didnt get very far,

Holding my ID number,
As they take my mugshot,
For drunk driving,
I have been caught,

Now I sit in this jail cell,
Thinking about tomorrow,
When I get out of here,
Will I still feel this pain and sorrow

I give credit to Never Trust Again for her poem The Final Act which gave me the idea for this poem and I do have permission from her to post this here

  • Hey, um i know the majority of the poem, is your own, and its really well done. but the first two lines are from never trust agains poem, the final act.
please change these, cause i dont want you to take the whole poem off, cause its really good, just the first two lines.
    thanks and love mel
