Don't Say A Word.

by ASPHYXIATED   Oct 3, 2006

Destroy all the evidence,
Sugar coat the lies,
Beautify the bruises,
Orchestrate the cries.
Don't speak the forbidden,
Don't dare look him in the eye,
Don't act any different,
Don't break down and cry.

Smile through the shouting,
Laugh through the tears,
Withstand each beating,
Through out all the years.
Destroy all the evidence,
Sugar coat the lies,
Beautify the bruises,
Orchestrate the cries.

Each day gets harder than the last;
Don't say a word.

Your life is slipping from your hands too fast;
Don't say a word.

Lost memories erased from your whithering mind;
Don't say a word.

Peace you doubt you'll ever find;
Don't..Just don't say a word.

    Oh wow.. This has to be my favorite of all your poems. It is so strong, so beautiful, so true...so wonderful! I am amazed...I would use some different punctuation..But other than that I see no flaws within this. GREAT job!
