Free

I stand there watching
All the people walking past
No one will take the time
Because the world is moving fast

I just fade into the background
No one knows I'm here
Nobody will care
That I'm bout to shed a tear

I stand in the crowd
And people just push past me
Just like I don't exist
I just want to be set free

I slowly reach the elevator
And watch the closing door
For my task will be done
When I reach the top floor

I walk out on the roof
The wind blowing my hair
On the tallest building
I finally am there

I climb up on the ledge
The lights are so bright
No one seems to sleep
In the middle of the night

I look up in the sky
Into the black
I have to do this
There is no turning back

I stretch out my arms
And I close my eyes
I take a deep breath
And say my goodbyes

I lean forward
and feel the wind going past
The street is getting closer
I'm going very fast

At last I reach the bottom
And people notice me
As I lie on the road
I finally am free
