Betrayed

You were my best friend,
i told you all my secrets,
and now all they are is regrets,
you brought the friendship to an end.

you made me feel secure,
which made me tell you more,
then you took it away,
all within one day.

i thought you were a friend,
that would never make me feel betrayed,
but now i know,
i was always the one you would befriend,

i used to confide,
and a listening ear you would provide,
but then you walked away,
leaving me astray.

i placed all my trust in you
and you broke it leaving no clue
i hate you for doing this,
but your still a friendship i will miss
