When it was only me and you
we planned so many things we wanted to do
Like spend our lives growing old together
Something that would make us happier than ever

Then a little while down the line
They started to hate that you were mine
You told me you had a plan in case we didn't make it
and that was you were going to sign the papers and go off to basic

One day you called and a tear ran down my cheek
When i heard you say I leave in less than a week
I couldn't believe what you had just said
A flash of what used to be went through my head

We talked for a little while then you had to go
You said you'll forever be in my heart thats all you need to know
Then you said good-bye and slowly hung up the phone
Then it finally hit me that now i was all alone

So from there i had to go my own way
no matter how much i wanted for you to stay
Your name couldn't be taken off their list
I didn't know what to do or to think of it

After i had no tears left to cry
i thought to myself I'm ready to try
ready to move on and let you go
even thought my heart was telling me no

SO i tried to move on while heart broken and confused
i met someone so special i thought what do i have to lose
seemed like he was he missing part
the only one that could complete my heart

when i thought for me he felt the same
he proved me wrong cause he played mind games
slowly but surely he shattered my world
when we came to an end over another girl
a few months later my phone rang
your old ring tone is what it sang
When i saw your number a tear ran down my cheek
then when i heard your voice my heart skipped a beat

You told me you were home and that you loved me
i said i love you too and thought how can this be?
you said while you were gone you figured out what you should have known
and that was you only wanted it to be me that you forever will hold

Days, weeks, and even months flew by
When i got your call on that day i thought i would die
You told me you were having to leave again
I couldn't believe it how would we know what could have been?

Now we are just playing it all by ear
But I'm missing the days when you were here
We are both so terribly confused
Neither of us knowing what to do

should we wait for each other until you get back
see if this time we can both keep our love bound pact
i don't even know if I'm still your love
or even the only one your thinking of

but what i do know is you'll always be in my heart
NO matter how many times that we;re torn apart
You were my first real true love
my angel sent from heaven above

No one could ever take your place
in you i have placed all my faith
As a friend i know you'll always be there
someone that every secret i can share

But i do have a question i was to ask you
Are you still feeling the way i do
