Circus Lion

by Flaminia   Oct 14, 2006

On stage with a smile:
who will hear his freedom cry
when another sunset in captivity
has just passed by?

Jumps in fire no fear:
who knows what that mild song means,
when another dawn in a dark damn cage
plays broken dreams?

Children's laughters loud:
what was there to laugh about?
Just another roar sound to the end of ends:
dead lion can't shout.

You have captured the other side of nature that we don't seem to think about often enough.
We see the beauty side most often and ignore the captive side.
Very eye opening poem, that surely opened MY eyes.
    Thank-you for sharing !
