Follow The Moonbeams [Part 2]

My soul was filled of confusion
As I held his hand so tightly
Afraid that if I let go
He would slip away

His hearts beat across the monitor
As I looked towards the sky
The moon shone onto his fragile face
Tears traced tattered cheeks

There was nothing in his thoughts
As I prayed towards the heavens
I knew his chances where slim
But I told him to hold on

His mind was a mystery
As he slept there in silence
I was loosing him
My one and only true love

Stillness filled the monitor
As I screamed "please don't go!"
With moonbeams on his colourless skin
He went towards the pearly white gates

E-con, I like the alliteration in the second stanza. another note: all you have to do is delete those question marks, but otherwise, very well written...
