Last Touch of Beauty

by Kim   Oct 16, 2006

As the snow melts
As the petals fall
As Lady Dusk dances across the sky

My eyes search for a trace
A single glimpse of your face
A final fading try

While the streams thaw
While the hawk screams
While laughing Time strolls its way

My heart is begging please
I collapse upon my knees
Anything for one more day

Then the trees sigh
Then the leaves turn
Then Fate weaves throughout the night

My soul's tears will never mend
As I spiral to my end
Failing beneath the paling light

Shimmering I weep, as you slowly die
Yet you smile so sweet, with our last goodbye

*these are more kinda lyrics

Wow Kim, these really did seem like great lyrics! I'm sure Miguel can put together a perfect tune for this one. The flow and rhyme were wonderful. I adored the ending! It was so perfect, sad, yet relieving. Awesome job Kim!

    Amazing opening stanza

The imagery releases through your words evokes tears in this lady's eyes .

    Wonderfully writen Kim .

Lyrics are poems in a different verse, so if they sound like lyrics (and this one does) there's hardly any difference. Excellent job on this. Wording is perfect and the mellifluous rhythm kind of takes you away. Beautiful
