A Storm of Heartache

by Ashley Ann   Oct 16, 2006

Sitting outside on a swing
I scream into the night
lightning strikes behind me
those tears I cannot fight

Soaking wet, I sit alone
wishing that you would die
why it is that, you of all people
had to make me cry?

You broke my heart
and tore it in two
you've caused a storm of heartache.
Well guess what, now Im through

I stand up cold, tired, and weak
and scream one final blow
No longer will I be your dancing puppet
just wanted to let you know

So next time you want to mess with me
you better think hard and clear
My storm of heartache, I blow away
no longer is it you that I fear

The poem flows very nicely together. Like most of my poems it's short and to the point. This is also full of emotions. 5/5
