Breathe No More

by LadyPearl   Oct 17, 2006

Green-eyed lizard can't you see
The missing parts of being me
My breath is shallow; gone and gone
Heaven or Hell will come on dawn

Will you miss me stained white pillow
For all the tears I made you swallow
Will you miss me burying all my sorrow
Within your softness which now I owe

No, I shall fade like the blowing dust
Dead yet always there, flying in the gust
Will these walls cry when I can no longer live
No, for I had no spirit for me to give

Sleep away fate and all it's gory pain
Sleep away the future for all it contain
The world is nothing but white and grey
Everything rotting in a dying bouquet

Hear the footsteps as my path unfolds
Watch as gates open to a story untold
I die as a guardian for those left astray
I will be the one who victims will pray

Let the pounding fog take my soul
Let them take everything as whole
Yet at the same time I still reminisce
Remembering those old winter night bliss

Music disappears just like the memories of joy
Piano playing dreams I no longer enjoy
My shadows has now began to implore
I say my last prayers as I breath no more

I love this poem! I ususally choose which stanzas I like the best but this poem was simply incredible! The only problem i found was on your last line it should be breathe* not breath :)

This poem has much, much better flow. I absolutely love this line:

Everything rotting in a dying bouquet

it just works so well with the rest of your poem.
