Promises (for a friend of mine)

by Kirsty palmer   Oct 26, 2006

*this poem is written for a friend of mine, and it is how i really feel towards this perosn, forgive me Harry if you did not want it on here.. all my love babe*

Be strong and hold your head high
Wipe that tear from your eye
Hold out your hand, and take mine,
Together we can make things fine
You can depend and rely on me
We can make you feel happy and free
Put down the knife, and use the phone
For on the end will be me with advice to loan
I'm not going no where, I'm here for you
Together we can see things through
I promised you i would do my best
That promise comes before the rest
So please no longer cry at night
Hold the thought of me close and tight
Rest your head, and dream a dream
Of a world of love, full of gleam
I have one more thing left to say,
I Promise you will feel better with everyday

    Kristy,
Overall, the poem was nicely written. The sentiment was well thought out and versed. The last line didn't quite follow the flow of the rest of the poem and I had to reread the last few lines, to get it to sound and flow well, but like I said, nicely done.

Keep up the good work and thanks for commenting on my poems. Will try to get to some more of yours later.

This is really good. It's really sad, and I can relate to it, very nice, very heartfelt.
