How Could It Be

by Kirsty palmer   Sep 8, 2007

Whisked away, there flies my hopes,
Torn out of my body my heart leaves
You've led me astray and now you're gone;
For you my heart continues to bleed.
No signs of happiness shall now follow,
Lurking in darkness I'll now remain
All because you found someone else:
You threw me away- no care for the pain

I thought you loved me, yet I was wrong,
After all we have been through; it's come to an end.
Years of what I thought were happy memories
Were they all just pretend?
I can still hear your voice whispering in my ear
I can still feel your hand stroke my face
But now its over, ill never feel it again
You have ruined my world- I belong no place

I hope you're happy with her,
After all the pain that you caused me
I hope she was worth what you gave up,
And don't you dare try to disagree!
I gave you everything- all I could
Only to be dropped by you
Without the slightest remorse
Only to hear ... that we are through!
