Discovering The Light

by Jessica   Oct 27, 2006

Feeling her way slowly through the darkness
Discovering light amongst the ghostly black
Saying goodbye to all her sorrows and pains
Climbing out of the hole, getting back on track..

Goodness sparkles from her longed for destination
Transparent hands lift her from the clinging evil
Removing each thorn; finally smelling the petals
Throwing all her fears and obsessions into upheaval..

Removing the secrets that keep her so tightly bound
Relief slowly spreads as feelings are at last set free
Tears containing wasted time roll down tender cheeks
Repairing the cracks in her soul, getting rid of thee..

Ooo. I see why you might have wanted to put this in the life poems. It sums up a lot that happens in life.

The darkness in this was...wow. Lol. I can't even express my feelings enough to tell you how much I liked it. There were just no words lol. And the emotion was great! It was like I knew exactly what was happening, and I was the person. You had great imagery and flow throughout this piece. Wonderful job. =) 5/5 xoxo

Honestly, this poem is not my favorite, but i still like it anyway. It still gets a 5/5, but it didn't really get my attention.. but, again, good use of words.

Wow, yet another wonderful written poem by you, I love your work, you are very talented. I was just getting into this poem and then it stoped, I'd really like to see this continued, it is kind of short. Great Job on the flow and structure of the poem. Keep the wonderful work.

    Ciao, Joe
