My Apologies

My Apologies

I'm sorry for the deception
For telling you all the lies
I'm sorry that I hid you
Underneath my glazed eyes
I'm sorry that I put our love
Behind my closet door
I'm sorry that I gave in so easily
Giving what is asked for
But sorry isn't good enough
To heal the wounds I've made
They're bleeding from the inside-out
Killing you a little every day
If there's something that will ease the suffering
That haunts you through the night
I'll give you what you ask of me
To try to make things right

But I know I won't succeed...
with all my apologies

The flow loses a little steam towards the end as the rhyming goes a little askew and personally I find it makes the ending fall a bit flat.
However, I found the theme and language extremely touching and sad. You have a talent for emotional expression. Keep it up

I like this. It is well written. The rhyming is good and does not appear forced at all.
