Remembering You

Remembering You

I held you in my womb
Protecting you from the world
Giving you a chance at life
And I blame only myself
I wish I had held you closer
How could I have been so selfish

I hold back my tears
Telling myself I'm okay
Deep inside I cry for you
I cry for him
I wonder what would have been
What could have been
I wish I could have known you

The color of your eyes
The shape of your nose
Were you a boy or girl
Would you of had your daddy's curly hair
Would it of been his smile or mine
The shape of my eyes or his

I want you to know we'll never forget you
Words cannot describe
Only actions can show
The love we have for you
It's in daddy's voice
In mommy's eyes
In both our souls
Forever and eternity

-In loving memory of our baby-

Wow.. that is so sad. I am deeply sorry for your loss. You did an amazing job on the poem though. The emotions in the poem could be felt all throughout it. You described everything very well and the flow was good too. 5/5 Keep it up!

Bloody hell. that's a powerful poem. It conveys great sadness and is full of emotion. It seems very heartfelt and that come through. The words that you have used seem flawless. It just carries a very powerful message in it. so well done. I can think of nothing bad to say to that.

Thank you for your comments. It would be my pleasure to check out your poems.
