Strong

by Jenni Marie   Nov 1, 2006

So much of her life has been filled with trouble
She's spent so many years inside of her bubble.
She's lost countless friends
and wished her life to end.

She's been lied to so many times
Been promised everything will be fine
She's been misused and led astray
So many times she's wished her life away.

For years she's cut herself
For years almost drowned in all those tears
Been lied to by the ones she loved the most
Heard so many sneering boasts.

Spent days at a time doing nothing but crying
Spent years feeling like she was dying
She's felt broken and torn apart
Just wishing for a way to fix her heart.

But now she has found out
Who and what is true
And she no longer spends her time
Crying over you.

She doesn't wish that
You truly loved her
For you, I'm afraid
she just doesn't care.

An Epiphany is what she had
Now she goes through her days smiling and glad.
Her smile is no longer fake
Whatever life throws at her she knows she can take.

She is finally Strong
And she now knows what was wrong.
She realizes she has much to live for
the truth she has finally saw.

She knows she has so much more to give
She's finally found the strength to live
She who once lived in depression
Has finally learned this lesson:

Her life isn't something that she gave up
But something that was took
And now she is taking it back
Just watch her and look.

She now knows no one
Had the right to do this to her
And she knows the ones who
Stuck by her are the ones who care.

She now knows who her real friends are
She now knows what is real
And now she's no longer numb
She can really feel.

She knows what's important
She knows what she wants to do with her life
And she is finally moving away
From any messed up strife.

That girl who was once broken
Is now finally strong
And that girl is me
And now I know I wont go wrong.

I now know what to do I know how my real friends are
And I am moving on
So look out world-I am about to go far.
