My Storybook

by Elizabeth   Nov 3, 2006

The storybook of life
Its a never ending dream
A memory in the back of your mind
That starts out so clean

As the years pass and pages turn
It all becomes more real
The heartache and pain is shown
But never does it give any warning

Then the wind blows the pages
You get a glimpse of what the future holds
Now you wish you hadn\'t known
What is contained it your tale

Living through life is tough now
Waiting for the pain to come
Knowing that someone dear will go
Living through the unexpected

All stories must come to an end
Everyone must say goodbye
But why does it have to end this way?
Why can\'t I re-write my own life?

Flipping through my novel
I erase my fears for a short while
Remembering the clean days
Forgetting whats still to come
