Hope

Witnessed from the corner of my eyes
Beauty so sacred just passing me by
Before i realized, my heart was in my hands
Bleeding for attention, someone to understand

She asked me to call her by the name Hope
Then with her fragile hands touched my lonely heart
Wish i knew which part of mine got changed
Courage in my veins & i was eager to restart

Walking by the river in the shades of twilight
Felt a fragrance passing all my senses by
Before i could turn, my knees touched ground
Tumbling to regain conscious of what's around

She asked me to call her by the name Love
And then she helped me to be on my feet again
She wasn't any ordinary angel fallen from above
Her eyes reassured me, there won't be any pain

Hope is a first step on one way road to love
Time you lose but a heart you may gain
Love could leave as time passes us by
But if you hold on to yourself, Hope remains

Sands of time slipping from my fingers
Turning to a cold face resembling mine
Sitting on clouds of opportunities alone
While waiting for my fading Hope to shine
