His Night of Fun

by amber   Nov 13, 2006

Tommy was the smart kid,
He never failed a grade
Colleges begged to have him,
Boy he had it made.
He was the hot guy,
Fine as candy,
But he was in love,
With a girl named Sandy,
Tommy went to parties
He had the perfect life,
He proposed to Sandy,
She said she's be his wife,
Tommy loved Sandy,
But didn't say it enough,
He figured she should know,
Which would mean just as much,
Sandy never complained,
About the things he never said
She just said she loved him more
And dealt with that instead,
One night Tommy went to a party,
And got the all time high
He never bothered to call his house
He didn't think to try,
Tommy got behing the wheel
And sped down the road
He was high as a kite
And his driving showed
He buddy dared him to play chicken
With a car in the other lane
By now his eyes were blood shot
And it had started to rain,
The car in the other lane,
Wwatched the other swurve
They tried to get away from it,
And they went around a curve
Tommy hit the guardrail
And thought it all was funny,
The other car went over the bank,
The driver not so lucky
Tommy's buddy freaked out
And quickly dialed 911
All this from one night,
They thought would be such fun,
A tow truck came and pulled the car
From the ditch below
The ambulance came to take them away
But Tommy wouldn't go
Sandy sat behind the wheel
Her body bruised and bloody,
Tommy didn't laugh no more,
This just wasn't funny,
Sandy was still alive right then
But not for very long
Tommy cried that whole time,
"WHAT I"VE DONE IS WRONG!!"
Sandy smiled her weakest smile,
"Baby it's ok."
Tommy wasn't drunk no more,
He didn't know what to say,
Within moments his Fiancee was gone,
She was no longer alive
Now you know why people stress
You don't get drunk and drive
Tommy's life was over,
He caused Sandy's life to end
All because he went and got drunk
With people that weren't his friends
So now Tommy lives with his guilt,
Knowing what he's done,
Sandy's life is over,
For Tommy's night of fun.
