My Eyes

Gaze into my longing eyes
See all that is in there
Everything that I know
And all that I don't share
See my love for you now
It is there in my eyes
Look at me so calm
What, not a suprise?
Eyes are the windows
Into the soul...
Or so the story goes
Over eyes, no control
See all that you see
Please, let me know
I'll be leaving now
I hope it didn't show
I really don't want to
Love you, not at all
I don't want you to see
Don't want to again fall
I want you to just smile
But truly never know
I don't want this to happen
I don't want my love to show
I can't bear the thought
Of doing this again
I will not be the one
To do this to my friend.

    I love it...but I hafta say...come on Athamae, if you love him (which I know you do) then you have to grant yourself the fact that you won't be able to let go of him anytime soon...and if you love your friend (which I hope you do) then you want to give up on him right away. Athamae, this happened last year, and I'm telling you now: I'll back out of it before you do...you say you won't be the one to do this to a friend...well, I won't be the friend that stands in the way.

    An interesting start...but a slightly disappointing ending to the reader, but nice rhyming in it!
