Murder in the Dark

by Lithium   Nov 15, 2006

Murder in the dark,
Lays a blackened heart,
Torn, broken and lost,
A soul that's been forgot,

The past brings back tears,
That have been shed through the years,
All the mistakes,
All the men so fake,

Each person taking a piece,
To resolve their own inner peace,
Used over and over with no hope,
Loosing the resistance of how to cope,

The days before you came,
Innocent I was to your scarlet game,
Softened with a touch,
I've now learned not to clutch,

I've got the breathe to stay alive,
I remind myself to survive,
My skin blistered blue,
At the thought of running back to you,

Your hugs a tightened grip,
I can't escape can't slip,
Your kisses used to be fun,
Now a curdled poison,

Each room I entered you stood there,
I was stupid enough to think you cared,
Into your arms each time,
Convinced one day you'd be mine,

You picture on the wall,
Broken by a thrashing fall,
Shards of glass my one true friend,
Was there to take me to my end,

This brings me to my darkened room,
Opening the door to my untimely doom,
Murder lies beneath this blackened heart,
Because you never took a part.
