Entrapment

by Vic   Nov 19, 2006

My natal home:
Thought privileged
To return to,
Illusion dissipated.
Land of my birth
Libel glorified,
True home is not
This place this time.

Reminiscent of
The yesteryear;
The ghosts of time
Still whispering.
The joys and sorrows,
The gifts and trials;
Contrast negatively
As distance increased miles.

How desperately I
Resurrect the past,
Avails to naught;
Dreams never last.
The destruction
Progressed till separation.
Now all is gone;
Even family is broken.
