Harmless Wishes

by Gem   Nov 19, 2006

I stare at a silver blade
And wish it was crimson red
Beautiful, yet deadly streams
Bleed until I'm dead

I stare at a plug socket
And wish that I could touch
A tiny little electric shock
It wouldn't hurt that much

I stare at a skyscraper
And wish that I could fall
Off the edge and to the ground
Away to forget it all

I stare at a nice warm bath
And wish that I could drown
A nice relaxing way to go
Quietly without a sound

I stare at a tub of pills
And wish that I could take
Every single last one there
Until my world goes faint

I stare at a metal gun
And I wish I could take the shot
Quick and easy, dead and gone
I wish that dream a lot

Just because I think these thoughts
Doesn't mean that I'm not well
It's just peaceful harmless wishes
To escape this living hell ©

Very very dark. Um the poem is good, well excellent actually! It made me frown though, its such a selfish thing to do and hits too close to the bone for me (not that i have ever tried to take my own life). There is a lot of emotions there but i cant fault the poem is anyway. Another remarkable write. Worth another 5/5.
