The Hero in this Murder

Stella! What have you done?
You left the body lying on the ground
Blood stains point to the red on your hands
You'll be in for it if that man stands

Drop his body into the lake nearby
Before the sun sets into night
Clean the blood off the floors and wall
As though there was none at all

Pull the bullet from his chest
Take the knife out of his back
Cover up this event with lies
Attend to the bruises around your eyes

Your husband went out drinking last night
He didn't return home that morning
When the police ask thats what you'll say
If you sound convincing you might get away

He'll never be home to hurt you again
Your child and you are safe now
His body will sink to the bottom of the lake
And your lives he will never be able to take

If anyone found out what will they say?
Getting away with murder or becoming a hero?
Stella, you killed Stanley how can you live?
Peacefully, there is nothing more anyone can give.

    I liked this.
    My favourite part was the last stanza, and I thought the imagery was fantastic, although it did start to creep me out a little.

    Hi Darien!
    I think that this was a wonderful poem. The flow was great the and the rhyming was great also. The only problem I had was that I really didn't think that the poem was really sad, and I think that it lacked emotion. Don't get me wrong I really did enjoy reading it and I do think that it was wonderful; but, I think that it can be excellent with just a touch of emotion. I think that you have a very creative mind and that you are talented. I just think that you should open up more and put yourself into your work. Over-all 5/5. Keep writing!
