King Of The Pridelands-For The Disney Contest.

King of the pridelands
teaching the prince his ways
His evil uncle always secretly
Wishing their lives away.

The evil uncle secretly
Plans and plots
He sends the hyenas after his nephew
Not caring if he rots.

The King of the pridelands
Is strong and proud
He sends those hyenas running
With a roar so loud.

The King of the pridelands says how disappointed
He is in the young prince
And tells him how the great kings
Have been in the stars always and forever since.

The King and Prince go home
Closer than before
But the evil uncle
Plots even more.

He's underhand and sneaky
Tells the Great King lies
He causes his death by a stampede
And makes the young prince cry.

The evil uncle tells him the death is his fault
The Prince doesn't know what to do
And the evil Uncle spitefully asks
'What will your mother think of you?'

The Prince runs away
he is all alone
But he makes two new friends
With them he makes a home.

They spend many a night
Staring up at the stars in the sky
Unknown to his best friends
The King still cries.

He plans to forget his past
To live his life out there
He doesn't know that
His family still care.

One of his friends is attacked one day
The Prince fights and tries to chase the lioness away.

The lioness pins him to the floor
And the fight comes to an end
The Prince gasps in shock
As he realises the lioness was once his best friend.

'Nala?' He cries out in shock
And her eyes open wide
She tells him how bad things are back home
Ands that everyone thinks he died.

The Prince is in shock
When she tells him the hyenas rule the pride
For his stolen childhood
The prince silently cries.

She tries to make him go home
To set the wrongs right
But he isn't ready to face the past
And takes off into the night.

On his travels he meets a wise old baboon
Who leads him to his father's spirt
After a few simple words his essence fades behind the moon.

The Prince is still not ready to go home
Until a few sharp words from the baboon
Make him suddenly realize
He really must go home soon.

He takes off into the night
Racing across the sand
He is finally ready
To reclaim his stolen land.

His friends realize he has gone
Gone back to his home
They set off after him
He no longer has to fight alone.

The prince finally arrives
Just intime to see his uncle hit his mother
He thought his battles were over
But he has yet to face another.

The prince tells his Uncle
To get out and go
The same words the Uncle
Said to him so long ago.

But the Uncle isn't giving up easy
And so they start to fight
With a fire burning beneath them
With the flames so bright.

The Prince starts to lose the battle
And the Uncle whispers in his ear
'Here's my little secret-I killed Mufasa'
His words are spoken with a jeer.

The Prince leaps upon him
Realizing who's the murderer here
He orders Scar to tell the truth
And the Lion's eyes fill with fear.

Scar finally tells the truth
And a firce fight breaks out
There's lions fighting everywhere
Nala gives Simba's name a shout.

Simba and Scar continue to fight
It's a fight to the death
Simba heaves Scar over a cliff
He's about to take his dying breath.

The hyenas advance upon him
They to were played for a fool
Scar played a game
But didn't know the rules.

They are all around him now
Snarling at their old friend
They jump upon him
And that's how that evil lion met his end.

The battle is finally over
Simba is finally home
And he takes his rightful place as King
On the top of that glourious throne.
