Sealed

by Christopher   Nov 24, 2006

Blood flows through these veins
His lungs fill with oxygen
A billion electrical shockwaves permeate through his nervous system
But there is no pulse
A mouth gasping for one last breath
A mind yearning for one last chance
As surroundings turn into a hot summers haze
All feelings are numb
The monster inside
Scratching his insides
A futile attempt to reach the surface
As it devours, it consumes
Delivering more agony to the core
His willingness to overcome be forsaken
His perseverance be folded into two
Will its secrets he be able to hind
Or will the monster erupt from the depths
Casting vengeance on those who abandoned
Will the heart stop beating?
Frozen to the nucleus
Or will the virtuous overcome
Taming the beast residing inside
Peace and matrimony
For the remainder of his story to live
