He's My Perfect Dad

by amber   Nov 29, 2006

He held my hand when i was young
He comforted me when i cried
He was stern when i was bad
And corrected me when i lied

He always let me talk to him
Nothing from him i hid
He was always on my mind
In what i said and did

He made sure i knew
The consequences of drinking
He always taught me to act
AFTER i did my thinking

He taught me the important things
"Never drink and drive,
Even if you think it's ok
I"d rather you be alive."

He told me drugs weren't that great
They could mess you up
He always told me no matter what
Me, he still would love

He told me stories when he was young
he told me i made him proud
I always would seek his hand
If i was in a big crowd

He taught me to play guitar
He taught me how to throw a ball
he taught me how to tell a joke
And how to make a prank call

he helped me through the rough times
He helped me when i was sad
Through the years i've learned alot
He's my perfect dad

By: Me
dedicated to the most important man in my life, he's the one that i can talk to when i have a problem
