We Fell Apart

by David Marshall   Dec 11, 2006

Kind at heart,
gentle at soul.
Why did we fall apart?
Why did we lose control?

We had laughter,
We had our good times.
My heart beats slower,
there's a crack in the singing chimes.

Winter seems longer,
and I miss the gentle breeze.
You drift away farther,
into a place no one sees.

My life seems so dim,
as I start to think of you.
The air seems so thin,
My worst fear has come true.

You left me alone,
and alone I must depart.
With you it felt like home,
how did we fall apart?

Are you trying to make me cry? That's a really good piece of writing. Never give up writing, ok? You have an amazing passion and you can never let it go. Wonderfully done.
