Majestic Pines

by x.Athame.x   Dec 13, 2006

Majestic pines standing tall in their glory
Shades of deep emerald green splendor
Boughs swaying in the cool crisp wind
Sun's golden light, now gently illuminating
Flowers, gone for now, replaced with berries
Red berries, bright in small splashes of color
Apples, magnificent in their red hues
Leaves, drab in their browns and oranges
Autumnal Equinox, the time of the harvest
The deer, soft and tawny, amongst the pines
Birds going south for the year, blot out the sun
The sky a dark mass of airborn blackbirds
Frost is now coming in the eve to coat the grass
All glistens, as the first morning rays come
Seemingly making the entire world sparkle
All is at peace, as the majestic pines gently sway.
