Enlightened Darkness

Her beauty shines like the summer sun
Her presence captivating to all
A good, honest, genuine person
No one suspected her sudden fall

Such a bubbly personality
Her smile brightens a stranger's day
Little do they know what lies behind
A shocking truth, at the least to say

Its' her eyes that get the attention
Sparkling blue just like the ocean
Tears quietly hidden behind them
Veiling her very sad emotions

This is the sad story of a girl
Who just couldn't take life any more
She felt depressed and suicidal
Fake smiles is all people ever saw

One day, someone special came along
Caught her eye and swept her off her feet
She knew how very lucky she was
For this amazing man she could meet

He bought her out of that once dark life
Gave her happiness, also some light
Just because of this one special man
Her life quickly changed for dark to bright

When all is lost in the dark of life
