Angel

by january friend   Dec 22, 2006

Light pours down from a starry sky
Into the angels bright blue eyes
Her skin aglow and her robe of white
She walks through the forest at the dead of night
Her footsteps, soft at the earth beneath her feet
She comes to the sound of those who weep
In the path before her, a stranger, dressed in black
He sits leaning on a tree, thinking about what he lacks
His love has been taken away form him
And the thought makes him weep
'Will i ever be able to see her again?'
She places her hand upon his back
And he looks up in to her starry eyes
She gently wipes away the tears that he cries
Standing him up and with a flash of light
He disappears, gone, from his sight
Replacing this angel, before him now stands
The love of his life and his best friend
