Stop for the Holidays

by Rona   Dec 23, 2006

"Peace and good will to all men".
This, I hope for every year.
But I am sad to say,
This is all I hear:
*sigh* "Not another gathering".
I wish we'd all just enjoy each other's company,
Even if we may not like each other.
Together, let's all hear a Christmas symphony.
For once, let's forget about the gifts.
It's all really stressful,
And it is not what the holidays are about.
Put away the list of "Things to Buy" and just sit a while.
Look around you, what do you see?
Christmas ornaments and what-nots under the tree.
What did you miss while you were out shopping?
Little Susie's face when she opened her Chrismtas stockings.
Or what about when you left for work Christmas Eve.
You missed Aunt Sarah and Uncle Steve.
Just make time for your family and friends,
Before this Christmas ends.
Show them how you care
By letting them know you are there.
