I Cried A River

by RainbowSlider   Dec 27, 2006

I cried a river to your heart.
I will admit; You did your part.
You were my love and my friend.
So sad that it all had to end.

But some things are meant to be.
At-least I still have my insanity.
I had her and you had him.
Folks could say, "Look at them."

Eyes all swollen and red.
So much is still left unsaid.
But tomorrow is another day.
We both had to come this way.

Believe what you will.
I will be the same still.
Broken hearts do mend.
Our war is at an end.

The white flag flies.
No more alibis.
No more pain.
Nothing to gain.
