What did I do?

I can't take it back,
not even for you.
When a heart is cracked,
you can't fiX it with glue.

I know I've got to stop,
I can see it in your eyes.
But my friends don't back off,
and you try to hide your cries.

It really hurts,
to see your pain.
But I join in and make it worse,
and this I can't explain.

I won't do this tomorrow,
I say.
And all your sorrow,
will go away.

As I run up to join my friends,
the teasing gets worse.
It's so hard to end,
what was so easily rehearsed.

This time you stand up,
but only to be pushed down.
My stomach does a flip,
as your body hits the ground.

My friends kick you,
and I watch.
I wanted to stop my crew,
but my body was lost.

They start to back off,
and you don't move.
I can barely watch,
yet my eyes stay glued.

I hear them say lets go,
but I didn't run.
I kneel real slow,
and realize what they have done.
