That empty chair

by Independence Forever   Jan 11, 2007

I look in the corner at the vacant chair
in hopes of seeing you sitting there

i always forget our terrible loss
you were my captain my full time boss

i feel this pain deep in my heart
it hurts so bad from the very start

i'll keep that chair, i dare not relieve
will you come back? i don't believe

i feel your presence wherever i go
this chair iwill not leave me through all my woe

i will burn the chair i've got to try
i could never burn you, it would make me die
