A Prayer for Forgiveness

by shela   Jan 22, 2007

Immeasurable, Unimaginable pain
Accumulates at the edge of my brain,
And then visions start to blur,
I feel like a cur,
For I am left at the mercy of hate,
What is to be my fate,
Abandoned by my own consciousness,
Deserted by my happiness,
On account of my own actions,
I stand with my head low,
Stripped off my esteem and respect,
By my own bare hands,
I cannot understand,
Impulsive actions leading to devastation,
And my honesty only added to the ruins,
I stand before thee as a tainted criminal,
Distrust and disgust perhaps my destinations,
Darling I only await your compassion.
