Broken By You

by Vic   Jan 23, 2007

You left me broken;
Strung out like a misused doll.
I've helped you through
The bad and good,
Yeah, I went with you
Through it all.

I thought we had a promise;
All those playful pacts we made.
I kept all those things in mind,
Not thinking I'd get played.

Now I'm hurt deep down inside
Still can't believe my eyes.
I see your smile, still looking sweet,
But the one you're holding isn't me.

And my world is left in shards,
This heart refuses the truth.
My dreams completely shattered,
I'm left broken by you.

I put out like I'm strong,
Like I'm invincible.
But it hurts knowing
To you, I'm invisible.

I try my best to move on,
That I'm not caught up in you.
But it's impossible:
I'm stuck like super glue.

Broken on the floor;
Sick with sweet nostalgia.
I want to say I hate you
But my heart says it's not over.
