All That You Have Is Your Soul

by xTheEcstasyOfSuicidex   Jan 28, 2007

All that you have is your soul,
Covered in white and covered in gold.
Sip in all the ugly deceit,
Press in gently after defeat.
Cry to your soul, it will hear,
Of all your sorrows and intrigate fears.
Hold on close to what you now possess,
And to one soul one may confess.
All that you have is your soul,
Covered in white and covered in gold.

I really likred this, particularly the opening, and I liked how you repeated it at the end, I thought that had a good effect.
The imagery was wonderfully done, as always.

This poem was beautiful. i have only one suggestion for improvement:
Covered in white and covered in gold.- instead of the second covered, use gllttered, sparkled, or something along those lines.

Although fairly short, this poem was very good... It flowed nicely and was very well written... Your usage of words always makes for a superb read... Well done xx

Thanks for entering my contest :]
